In 1983, Leslie and Steve Barlow purchased a six-acre farm on Sea Girt Avenue, and the roadside produce stand that came with it. In the four decades since, they grew their acquisition into Barlow’s Flower Farm, a bustling resource for residents and landscapers alike.

Stephen Barlow, son of the farm’s co-founders, Leslie and Steve Barlow, now serves as general manager, enthusiastically maintaining Barlows’ ethos — a commitment to providing customers with the finest quality plants and superior customer service.

Barlows is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this weekend, bursting with colorful blossoms, an attentive workforce, and an extremely loyal clientele. The occasion is being marked with a special sale and tribute to its co-founders.

When they purchased the property from the Swain family in 1983, Steve was already an experienced landscaper and horticulturist, and he and Leslie were asked to keep the farm running.
