Mimesis and A fish named Fred, two Dutch-based brands, are now starting a special collaboration.
This summer, fashion brand A fish named Fred’s clothing collection is all about Brazil. “Whoever thinks of Brazil thinks of tropical and colorful atmospheres. That, of course, includes orchids,” says Henk de Jong, commercial manager at The Orchid Growers. “Together with Fred, we designed an exclusive orchid print for their fashion items. You will soon find these on their polo shirts, which will be in shops this summer.”
The Mimesis orchids from The Orchid Growers have also been literally redesigned. Henk de Jong: “Think of it as a collector’s item, available on a limited basis at Floriday and in our Orchid Store. From the beginning of March, the concept can also be found at two garden centers in Limburg.”
The collaboration was born out of a shared drive to surprise and inspire. Henk de Jong: “We would like to enthuse a younger target group about our orchids. To do that, you sometimes have to think a bit outside the box. Moreover, we can learn a lot from the fashion world, which is often ahead of the game when it comes to trends and marketing.”
