On March 8, International Women’s Day, many people were looking for gifts to give to the women in their lives. Those who think about the happiness of women generally turned to flowers on this special occasion. One day before Women’s Day, both producers and florists had completed their preparations. Carnations were among the most demanded flowers for Women’s Day.
Continuing their feverish work, the florists also pointed out that the interest in flowers increased with spring, as well as the increased demand on special days. Stating that regular care is important in growing flowers in a healthy way, the sellers also pointed out that consumers should be informed about each plant.
Sukru Turhan, who stated that there was activity in sales before Women’s Day and due to the arrival of the spring season, said, “Right now, the new season has started with the spring. We brought beautiful and high-quality flowers to be found from different regions. There are flowers suitable for every budget. For now, carnations and roses are mostly preferred varieties.
They are also very delicate and easy to care for. For now, I can say that there is a 100 % increase in our customers. These times are the full flower growing period, and I think every home needs a beautiful flower.”
Sennur Dincer remarked that more attention should be paid to flower care and suggested a few tips to those who want to buy plants: “We plant the flowers and then put them in pots. Flowers exposed to insufficient or excessive water die in a short time. If the soil is moist or slightly wet, it can be said that the irrigation process is done in the right amount. Another point to be considered is to make holes in the bottom of the flower pot for the water to go. In this way, the rotting of the roots of the flower can be prevented.”
