This year, the Roparun is being organized for the 25th time, and the Royal FloraHolland team is also participating again. Over the years, this team has raised more than 900,000 euros for charity.
Over the years, the team has received many donations from colleagues and relations of Royal FloraHolland. This year too, they are hoping to get a lot of support for charity. They are doing this under the motto: “Floriculture puts its quality into improving the quality of life for people with cancer.”
Royal FloraHolland is the named sponsor of the team, but it is also running this year on behalf of growers, buyers, and suppliers as a calling card for the entire floriculture industry. The hope is to raise over € 100,000 this year and pass the €1 million mark.
As part of fundraising for the Roparun charity, an action week will take place in May. We will see if growers are willing to auction products for charity during that week. The full program of the action week will be announced later.
