Optimism prevails at IPM Essen

January 27, 2023

Growers seem to be more optimistic than 2 to 3 months ago. Not only do the prices seem to have stabilized a bit, and the demand for flowers and plants seems to remain, but it is even expected to increase. And this positive attitude is present at the IPM as well.

The growers’ stocks are well filled, which some suppliers notice as well, as they find it more challenging to sell their products.

However, all in all, optimism prevails. We have to take a step back compared to covid years ’20-’21, but people seem to be confident in finding a new balance soon. Finally, it is noticeable that there are fewer exhibitors. In every sub-sector, parties are absent.

On Monday, January 30, we will publish our full photo report, but below, you can already find a small sneak peek.

The team of Modiform. Pristine takes center stage at their booth.

Christian Westhoff and Bart Hayes of Westhoff. Calibrachoa Calitastic Cappuccino (the calibrachoa in the back) is one of the highlights at their booth, which is introduced this year.

Bart Tesselaar of Könst Alstroemeria and Peters Schrama of United Selections in their shared booth.

The team of GlobalGap. Yesterday, they presented their new sustainable solutions at the IPM Essen.

In the meantime, we hope you stop by our booth in the corridor to pick up a greenhouse guide or just to say hi!
