Last week, Johan Gommers of GTL Zundert B.V. signed, together with Chantal van Kuyck of BCT Treehub B.V., the rental agreement with BCT Treehub BV. As of 1 October, GTL Zundert B.V. will move into the rented visitor’s and warehouse spaces.
GTL is a transport company that works for 35% in flowers and plants and for 25% in the tree nursery. On top of that, there is the transport of vegetables and fruits and of machines related to the nursery stock industry.
Countries such as France, Italy, and the whole of the Benelux are visited weekly, but GTL – which has been active in the industry for over a decade – is also active in other countries. They also deliver, for example, to Germany and Austria. The company owns 7 trucks and continuously leases 2 other trucks. They can all be combined with refrigerated trailers and tautliners.
In a relatively short period of time, GTL has turned into a well-established name in the industry and a great fit with not just the Business Centre Treeport philosophy because they fit perfectly with the thematic filter that rests on the 62-hectare development area for the nursery stock industry, but also the Treehub and – last but not least – the transport to and from the cold store. That was the reason that Johan initially was docked to the Treehub and became interested.
GTL also joined the Coöperatieve Vereniging Treeport Zundert U.A and will contribute as an expert to a research conducted through Rootz, the knowledge center at Business Centre Treeport. We are looking forward to the move and the great cross-overs and joint ventures that will result from that.
