New premises and new product for Holland Heater

August 19, 2023

Holland Heater is moving to new premises in Rotterdam in October. “The larger new building location gives us the opportunity to achieve further growth,” explains Commercial Manager Hans Koornneef. Also new to the company, currently based in De Lier, is a series of biomass heaters for horticulture.

Over two years ago, Holland Heater was acquired by Belgian company Roxell. “This greatly expanded our global dealer network and created the need for a larger production location,” says De Lier.

The new location in Spaanse Polder Rotterdam is very conveniently located, reveals the commercial manager. “The motorway network and, of course, the port of Rotterdam are just a stone’s throw away, which allows us to transport our goods even more efficiently.”

New products for the horticultural market also mean that more space is needed. In addition to existing products, such as the CAF45 recirculation fans, heaters, and dehumidifiers, Holland Heater has also introduced a range of biomass heaters. “This can be a good alternative to gas and/or oil-fired heaters for different regions of the world,” he said.

There are six models in the series, ranging from units providing 70 kilowatts of heat to 720 kilowatts. Wood pellets, wood chips, olive husks, nut shells, walnuts, almonds, or sunflower pellets can be used as fuel. The use of other raw materials should be discussed by the user with Holland Heater.

Pioneer in hot air heaters
Hans, following the departure of managing director Jan van Dijk this spring, is at the helm of Holland Heater together with financial manager Monica Rodenburg and head of business office Robert Nijding.

Holland Heater was one of the pioneers of gas heating in horticulture in 1976. With its own development of hot air heaters, the company offered growers a cost-efficient solution to continue growing during the cold months. In those days, Holland Heater as a manufacturer and installer, still did business directly with growers. Maintenance and service were also part of the company’s activities.

Gradually, the focus shifted to development and manufacturing. A global network of dealers is now responsible for sales, commissioning, and service. Holland Heater dealers are spread all over the globe: from Europe to Asia, from Central America to South Africa.

New address
Holland Heater will move into the new premises on 15 October 2023. The address will then be Keersopstraat 57, 3044 EX Rotterdam. Until then, Holland Heater’s team can still be found at Leehove 2 in De Lier.
