New bio-based shading agent delivered in powder form

“Our newly developed shading agent is bio-based, making it a sustainable alternative to most products available nowadays. On top of that, we can transport more product since we distribute it in powder form. Also because of this, we are making strides in affordability and sustainability, without compromising on quality,” says Richard Hagedoorn, director of the newly founded company White Circle. With their Sunless products, the company offers growers worldwide new shading agents in powder form.

Powder form
White Circle chose to distribute all SunLess products in powder form. “Sunless is developed with a unique production process: we combine all the strength of a liquid agent but without the water. That means fewer buckets per hectare, lower transport costs, and saving CO2. This ensures that a grower gets the product for the best possible price, and it can save growers up to more than 40% compared to liquid shading agents”, Richard says. To complete the sustainability story, they carry out a positive production process and use recycled packaging. “In this way, we make both your greenhouse and your business greener.”

Lowering the stress
“Lowering the temperature on hot summer days lowers the stress levels for crops, which is the standard to measure the success of shading agents,” continues Richard Hagedoorn, who knows the industry like his pockets, thanks to his 15+ years of experience in this sector. Now, he’s putting his energy into the newly founded company White Circle, a producer and distributor of bio-based shading agents for greenhouses. “Sunless creates a high shading percentage for your crops. To avoid production losses, you need to protect your crop from the scorching sun during hot summer days. Unique about SunLess, our key product, is that it’s bio-based and developed with mainly natural ingredients.” Other products in the SunLess range include Sunless Premium (even more transparent when wet) and Sunless Dark, with extra heavy shading. All products can easily be removed with the cleaner Sunclean, which completes the Sunless range. “In this way, a grower gets all the benefits of nature again on darker days. “

White Circle is based in the Netherlands and distributes worldwide. “Currently, growers among others in Greece and Germany see great results with the shading agents.” Also, dealers are welcome to contact Richard, as he sees the benefits of close collaboration with horticultural specialists from all over the world.
