iLandscape 2023 recap

“Was it cold? Yes, it was freezing. Was it busy? Yes, extremely busy, with a record attendance of nearly 7,000 attendees. Was it worth it? Absolutely! What was it? The 10th iLandscape show (The Illinois + Wisconsin Landscape Show) was held at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois, from Feb.1-3, 2023. iLandscape is the Midwest’s biggest show focusing on the lawn and landscape industry. There were over 450 booths and two halls featuring hardscapes, equipment, green industry products, and of course, my favorite – the latest plants! There were also plenty of educational and training sessions available to gain inspiration and knowledge”, says Marion Meesenburg, Marketing Coordinator at Darwin Perennials.

Under the Ball Seed umbrella, there was one large booth with Darwin Perennials, Kieft Seed, PanAmerican Seed, Selecta, and Ball FloraPlant. For a February show, our plants looked great, and we were busy! For Darwin, the big takeaway was our Brunnera Frostbite. People were touching it, taking pictures, picking it up, and wanting to take one home. Some folks came back a second time to talk about Frostbite and asked if we had more Brunnera coming down the pipeline. All I can say right now is Stay Tuned.”

They also featured several mixed containers with annuals and perennials, which were well received. “A big thank you to GET Group for growing out the Darwin varieties. Other attention-grabbers from the show were Beacon Impatiens and Hula Begonias. And as always, this was an excellent opportunity to connect with our customers and gather information on trends and expectations. Looking forward to participating again in 2024.”
