Cooling and dehumidifying solutions to be showcased at Fruit Logistica

Lubing GreenTec will present the future-oriented climate solutions for greenhouses, vegetable- and storage sheds at FruitLogistica in Berlin from 08-10 February 2023 in Hall 3.1 Booth B-31. The two systems are developed for cooling and humidifying the air and are produced at our factory premises in Barnstorf / Germany, with metal and plastic processing.

The Fogging-System, produced since 1996, has been developed for effective humidification of the air. With the running system at the company’s booth, you can feel it on your own. The water with a pressure of 70 bar is supplied to the air as fog via high-pressure nozzles. The fog evaporates and extracts heat energy from the air, so air temperature is lowered, and humidity is increased at the same time. The water droplets are so small that they do not deposit on cultivation and does not damage it. Controlled Fogging-Systems makes it easier for the plants to keep the water supply by the root system in balance with evaporation – the stomata will stay more open. This increases the crop productivity and the reduction of irrigation and energy costs.

The Pad-System, the company will also show a running system at our booth, can also be used for many different cooling purposes as a part of the pad&fan system. The water at the Pad-Systems is transported through the system from a pump station and directed onto the pads from above via a water distribution pipe and the deflector. The water then flows over the corrugated surface of the pads. Some of the water evaporates due to the warm and dry air flowing through the pads. The thermal energy required for evaporation is obtained directly from the air. Therefore, the air coming out of the pads is cooled and humidified at the same time – without any additional external energy supply for the evaporation process.

New: Plastic pads for evaporative cooling
The use of plastic pads in Pad-Systems has proven its durability and efficiency compared to paper pads. The company will show these plastic pads at their booth and will explain more advantages of plastic pads over paper pads.
