Heat and drought tolerance, compactness, uniformity, early and long flowering, disease resistance, beautiful flowers and leaves, and so on. All characteristics that are important and highlighted during the California Spring Trials, which is taking place this week.

The event was formerly known as Pack Trials, where breeders showcased their varieties for a period of 2 weeks, and for several years now, it has been a 5-day event. This year, it started last Wednesday, March 29, and will run till April 2. Growers, distributors, retailers, and more industry professionals from all over the country and abroad are finding their way to the 10 locations on the California coast.

There are tons of varieties on display, and we have already posted several pictures this week, and on Monday, April 3, we will publish the full photo report, providing a good impression of the event. So stay tuned for more pictures, but for now, here is another sneak peek.
