From January 1, 2023, Bas Brinkman will join the board of directors of the Royal Brinkman Group as director of the technical organization. This anticipates the growth ambitions of Royal Brinkman and Berg Hortimotive arising from the Group’s strategic course. That course aims to focus even more on the Group’s strengths. This means a strong focus on trading activities on the one hand and on engineering activities on the other. The current board of directors consists of five people. This is joined by Bas Brinkman for the technical organization. He is the 5th generation of Brinkman to hold a management position in the family business.

Strategic course
The Royal Brinkman Group’s strategic course 2023-2025 is to focus even more on the Group’s strengths with a focus on trading and engineering activities. This means developing a new interpretation of the technical organizations within the Royal Brinkman Group. Since July 2022, Bas Brinkman has been responsible for this. His joining the board of directors ensures mutual cooperation, integration, and uniformity within the Royal Brinkman Group.

Composition of the board of directors
The current team consists of five people. Ton van Mil and Gert-Jan van Peer form the statutory board as CEO and CFO. Jan Schuttrups, Ronald van der Tang and Ramon Verdel are each responsible for their own area of activity as titular directors. Now Bas Brinkman joins them as a titular director.

Ton van Mil: “Bas has certainly a track record in the positions he has held at Royal Brinkman over the past 20 years. He has developed enormously and achieved proven results. Especially as manager of the Technical Projects department, he has been able to successfully give shape to that department. Furthermore, Bas knows the organization, the market as well as the challenges in globally covered horticulture. I am convinced that with Bas, we are adding someone to the team who, with his expertise, drive, and network, will help the Royal Brinkman Group to continue to grow.”

Bas Brinkman is proud to become part of the board of directors. “I am grateful to the current board of directors for trusting me to take this step. With great pleasure and energy, I will also make my contribution from this new position to further expand and strengthen Royal Brinkman’s success in many areas,” said Bas Brinkman.
