Alternative spring crops from Köder Gartenbau

“We see great opportunities for our crops in the future, not only for autumn offers but especially for spring,” Johannes Köder of Köder Gartenbau says. With Hebe iBE® Blue Dream, Hebe iBE® Lemon Rose, Trifolium, Euphorbia Hybrids, Hebe Magicolor®, Leptinella, Sedum evergreen, Grasses Mix with Carex Magic Green, Uncinia & Ficinia, this German nursery offers an extensive range also for spring productions. “The cultures are all perfectly combinable with standard spring and summer flowering plants and set valuable structure-giving accents on balconies and terraces.”

“The alternative spring crops are not only beautiful to look at, they are particularly sustainable due to their robustness. Propagated in southern Germany, they are perfectly conditioned for our latitudes. In addition, they consume little water and thus make care much easier for consumers.” Also, in the organized trade, the assortments of Köder Gartenbau are more and more appreciated, especially where there is a lack of staff to take care of plants at the point-of-sale and to generate a longer sales window.

“We have been optimizing our assortments for years to make them fit for the future,” Mark Köder knows. Under the new iBE brand, the company is consistently breaking new ground and offers exclusive lifting varieties that have been bred specifically for health and branching. Köder Gartenbau sells the alternative spring crops as young plants for overwintering and in spring as raw and finished goods for the specialized trade in the Landgard Cash & Carry markets.
