AFE introduces their new Friends of Floral Program

The American Floral Endowment (AFE) has launched a new campaign promoting the Friends of Floral, a dedicated group of philanthropists that give monthly recurring donations to the Endowment.

This year, AFE continues to fund many vital floriculture resources for the industry, such as hosting a new personal leadership course for the Young Professionals Council, continuing the widely popular monthly Grow Pro Webinars, sharing the results from the Thrips & Botrytis Research Fund, and awarding over 30 Scholarships.

All of this is possible because of the loyal support of donors that share AFE’s passion for the floral industry. To better support all of the floriculture by providing an ongoing and dependable funding source for vital programs, AFE established the Friends of Floral donor program.

For just $25 a month, donors can come together to help ensure a bright and promising future for the floral industry.

Friends of Floral make a huge impact by helping to fund:

  • Programs to educate, empower, and train the next generation of industry leaders
  • Cutting-edge, research-driven advancements resulting in flower longevity & sustainability
  • Grants for continued education
  • Career resources for employers and job-seekers

Friends of Floral members are proudly honored on AFE’s website, in the November print bulletin, in the annual report, and during AFE’s annual reception. Monthly gifts of any amount are welcome and will be noted as Friends of Floral.

“In everything we do, AFE is supporting innovation, opportunities, and growth for all segments of the floral industry – growers to retailers,” Debi Chedester, CAE, IOM, AAF, AFE Executive Director, said. “We need your help to continue this great work!”
