Normally, temperatures are quite high during the FlowerTrials, however this year’s edition starts gray and rainy. Not ideal, but at least something unusual. More importantly, the entire breeding sector showcases its flowers, and welcomes customers and other interested parties to admire all the novelties and the existing range.

Today, visitors from no fewer than 70 different countries have already registered. The number of participants has been more or less the same in recent year, the same goes for the number of locations that can be visited. This year, 59 companies are participating in 30 different locations. This year’s edition is special because the FlowerTrials are celebrating their 20th anniversary.

Nevertheless, the FlowerTrials is but one of the many events that currently takes place. The coming days one can for instance also visit the GreenTech in RAI Amsterdam, an event which focuses mainly on greenhouse technology. In addition, various growers open their doors to the public.

The FlowerTrials are an annual highlight for both the Dutch and the international floriculture sector. Dutch breeders welcome customers from all over the world to inform them about the latest breeding developments. During the FlowerTrials one will encounter growers from all continents, including Australia and New Zealand. This is at least one of the aspects that motivates breeders to organize this event, and the accompanying parties and dinners.

An overview of all participants and locations, a route description, and of course the option to register can be found on the website.
